Thinking about getting a new dog?

Why not save a life at the same time.

Every dog adopted is a life saved.

There are around 100,000 healthy dogs in need of saving in the UK, and 200,000,000 in the world. These dogs face dire conditions, including starvation, dehydration, abuse, and untreated injuries. The best-case scenario for thousands of these dogs is to die in a kennel, either euthanised due to lack of space (dogs in public kennels in the UK are given 7 days to find a home or a space in a rescue organisation before they are killed) or dying of old age, never having known love, warmth, or the feeling of sleeping on anything but the hard ground.

Every time the choice is made to adopt, not shop, a life is saved and a space is opened up in a shelter for another needy dog. With the sheer number of dogs out there, your perfect dog is too. From pure breed puppies given up by the breeder because they were unsold, to the perfect, already trained family dog given up due to lack of time, rescue dogs come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and temperaments. Consider adopting a dog in need, and that dog will return your love tenfold.

Common Misconceptions about Rescue Dogs

Not all rescue dogs are:

  • Traumatised

  • Aggressive

  • Sick

  • Abused

  • From abroad

  • Unable to do a trial period with you before you commit

Many rescue dogs are:

  • Puppies

  • Purebreds

  • From a loving background

  • Already trained

  • Perfect family/first dogs

  • Cheaper than buying from a breeder
